Nashville’s Schermerhorn Center Sustains Damage

We’re quite familiar with the horrific news photos of flooding in Middle Tennessee and in Nashville, specifically. Streets, cars,  parking lots, and residential subdivisions under water…the Grand Ole Opry House and the Opryland Hotel have been seriously damaged along with scores of businesses on downtown streets.

Add to that Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center, home of the Nashville Symphony…and horribly, its Schoenstein pipe organ installed 3 years ago. The organ’s operating machinery was housed in a basement space which, as of Monday, was under 12 feet of water. The full story is here from the Nashville Scene.  Also, this link from The Tennessean.
