Last month, I mentioned a few cello and piano duos that were on the radar either by performance or recording. I did miss one…an important one coming up in January.
An all Beethoven program is on the calendar for the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra Chamber Classics series for their January concerts, including two duos. On the bill is Beethoven’s Sonata No. 4 in C Major for Cello and Piano, Op. 102, No. 1, featuring the KSO principal cellist, Andy Bryenton, and the KSO principal keyboardist, Carol Zinavage. Ms. Zinavage will also perform with violinist Miroslav Hristov in Beethoven’s Sonata No. 5 for Violin and Piano in F Major, Op. 24.
Maestro Lucas Richman has also included the Beethoven Symphony No. 8 for the Knoxville Symphony Chamber Orchestra to fill out that concert.
