Review in Metro Pulse: KSO Concludes 75th Season With All-Russian Program

In this week’s METRO PULSE (issue of May 26, 2011), I review last weekend’s season finale concerts by the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra. The concerts consisted of Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade with new concertmaster Gabriel Lefkowitz performing some very notable solos, Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini with pianist Joel Fan, and Stravinsky’s Suite from The Firebird (1919 version). KSO Music Director Lucas Richman conducted.
