Review at MetroPulse.com: KSO Performs Saint-Saëns and Schubert

Last weekend’s Knoxville Symphony Orchestra concert “Carnival of the Animals” featured four works, two each by Saint-Saëns (Violin Concerto No. 3 and Carnival of the Animals) and Schubert (Overture in D Major ‘In the Italian Style’ and the Symphony No. 8 ‘Unfinished’). David Kim, concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra, was the violin soloist in the Saint-Saëns concerto. Lucas Richman conducted.
