In Metro Pulse: Marble City Opera’s Collection, ‘Ties That Bond’

While the honor of being Knoxville’s producer of chamber opera went  uncontested to Marble City Opera,  they’ve made  themselves at home in the position and  in the city’s music scene over the last year. This weekend finds them at the Emporium on Gay Street in a production called “Ties That Bond,” a collection of three short operas: Introductions and Goodbyes (Lukas Foss), Will You Marry Me? (Hugo Weisgall), and A Hand of Bridge (Samuel Barber).

In this week’s Metro Pulse, I preview the production, which you can read here.

Thanks for reading.

My review of UT Opera Theatre’s Cosi fan tutte is also online in the Classical Cafe blog section at MetroPulse.com.

Thanks for reading!
